Single of the Day: Eilish Gilligan “Creature of Habit” (2017)

Eilish Gilligan is very much setting herself up for a prosperous 2018 if her latest work is anything to go by. “Creature of Habit” is another well-fitting piece of music in the Melbourne vocalist’s growing body of work; dabbling between the ethereal and ambient vibes of past work and plunging right into the deep end of the dream-pop spectrum on this number demonstrates Gilligan’s playfulness as a producer and musician, as well as boldness injected into each step she takes forward.

“Creature of Habit” feels larger than Gilligan’s previous releases and is perhaps a great indicator of the levels she’s looking to boost up to more in the New Year. Definitely worth 3:21 minutes of your day below.

Eilish Gilligan can next be seen at The Evelyn Hotel in Mlebourne on November 4th!
