Single of the Day: Circa Waves “Something Like You” (2015)

Taking on The Strands‘ 1997 original, Circa Waves have recently released their own version of “Something Like You”. The boys strip the music back and embrace an acoustic vibe for their cover and for fans of Circa Waves, it’s a real treat to see them operate in this way. Their version of “Something Like You” was released for charity, with all proceeds from the sales going toward the War Child UK charity fund – you may know of their previous work with other musicians, the results going toward raising money and awareness for and about countries suffering the effects of war conflict.

“Something Like You” will be raising money in particular for countries devastated by recent conflicts including Iraq, Afghanistan, Syria and the Central African Republic. Of their involvement with War Child UK, Circa Waves comment:

“As yet another senseless bombing campaign is ordered by our government, our heart goes out to all the families and children that will inevitably be affected. We felt we should try and help as best we could, making music, giving it out in support of a great charity, War Child, which works tirelessly to alleviate the suffering of thousands of people affected by war. We really hope everyone can support this.”
