Adelaide duo Auguste have continued to display promising potential with their new single, “Siren Sounds”. Straight up the alley of everything dreamy and atmosphere, a path illuminated by the likes of London Grammar in recent years, the song a great production by the girls who already made a significant impact with debut single “Kingdom”.
The song itself centres on anxiety and one’s relationship with its sometimes crippling effects but as Skye Lockwood explains, “Siren Sounds” doesn’t attack it with force.
“”Siren Sounds” explores the journey through anxiety, facing it head on and realising that at the end of the day we are all just a drop in the ocean. Beth [Keuogh] and I have both experienced this feeling and often call each other when its at its worst to talk it through…this song was really easy for us to write due to our in-depth understand of each other’s anxieties.”
Featuring extra production from Japanese Wallpaper adds extra flair to the single but on its own, it’s a captivating number from the girls who clearly have way more talent still to reveal.
