Nicole Millar reveals debut single “Wait”

22 year old Sydney songstress Nicole Millar has already seen her work immortalised on Peking Duk’s incredibly popular anthem “High”, the award-winning dance release which first introduced her magnetic vocals to Australia. The success of “High” has helped raise anticipation for further material and this week she has finally released her debut single “Wait”, a tender, sensual, and delicate song that fully showcases her dynamic voice over a melodic production and airy samples.

Recorded across Sydney, Melbourne, and L.A, “Wait” was written over a year ago but Millar patiently waited to perfect the sound, and it wasn’t until she met L.A producer Dan Farber that the song started to take shape.

“I’ve taken some time off to write and record songs to develop my sound. “Wait” was written over a year ago. We wrote this track in a day but it went through a bit to get to the sound I was looking for. When I was over in the States I met a producer. We really got along and I felt he understood the artist in me. He then finished off “Wait” and I’m so happy with the outcome. I’m excited to show everyone this track after the journey it’s been through 🙂 ” – NICOLE MILLAR

Listen to the smokey new song below and watch out for her at this year’s EMCPlay on December 2nd in Sydney CBD, where she will debuting a new live show with a three-piece band.
