Music Video of the Day: The Last Shadow Puppets “Bad Habits” (2016)

For fans of the Alex Turner/Miles Kane fronted, James Ford-produced outfit, The Last Shadow Puppets, the boys have gifted us with something special this Monday. Their first new piece of material since 2008, the British duo have dropped the film clip for new single “Bad Habits” and the verdict? A great return from the creators of The Age of the Understatement.

The tune is the first we’ve heard since discovering news of the new album by The Last Shadow Puppets (expected this year) and going by the relatively thrown together appearance of the music video, the new music Turner/Kane/Ford have made hopefully will flow as easily and naturally as their debut album came across. Shots of the band performing the tune for a small crowd are positioned alongside a jagged, filtered narrative of our leading men in the snow, women’s bodies and smoke. The whole leather jacket, greaser, models for girlfriends vibe – that kinda thing.
