Music Video of the Day: TEMPESST “Broke Down Blues” (2016)

Now based in London, Sunshine Coast duo TEMPESST have been fast garnering positive momentum surrounding their last few singles, in particular “Too Slow” and “Tidal Wave”. Recently, blogs and radio have been vibing their latest single, “Broke Down Blues”, a perfect follow on from “Too Slow”, and another step forward for the Banjanin twins.

Of the single, vocalist Toma Banjanin has explained, “It’s an ode of sorts. It’s meant to feel more liberated and triumphant than a whining, entitled artist crying about not having any money. It doesn’t represent breaking point, it’s celebrating what’s already broken.”

Bathing in psych-pop nostalgia and stripping things back a bit, “Broke Down Blues” is a number to fall back into and become enveloped by. The music video TEMPESST have backed the single release up with sees the band perform the tune on a rooftop in East London. Check it out below!
