Music Video of the Day: Rya Park “Billy” (2017)

Meet newcomer Rya Park. The indie musician has recently dropped her debut single “Billy”; a catchy and sultry offering from the Melbourne musician. Taken from her forthcoming EP, “Billy” is a call out track that spellbinds with ease.

The music video, now out, continues to spur on the mysterious nature of the lyrics as Park sits alone, retelling her story in a reflective nature. Working with collaborator Dan Howe, Park tells us of her experience in bringing “Billy” further to life.

“As this is the first videoclip I’ve made, it was really important to me to find someone who was on the same page as me. Dan had seen me perform a number of times and knows my songs really well, so it was really natural and easy for us to figure out what we wanted to create. In our first meeting we agreed that we would focus on generating a mood rather than depicting a storyline.”
