Melbourne based Run Rabbit Run are hard to describe – perhaps alternative folk-rock? Whatever it is, they’re doing it well. Really, really well.
They’ve recently dropped a video to accompany single “We Don’t Know”, ahead of their highly anticipated debut EP BLOODLINE – it’s a simple video, but really lets the emotive track run its course. There’s also a banjo (I fail to see how that could be a bad thing). This song has been stuck in my head for days now, a tense push beyond the boundaries of bluegrass, country and rock. The strained, discordant build of the song turns it to something dark, raw, and sonically confronting.
