Music Video of the Day: Massive Attack ft. Young Fathers “Voodoo In My Blood” (2016)

When you put the legends that are Massive Attack  and arguably one of the best bands at the minute, Young Fathers, together, the chances are high that whatever comes of the link up will be fucking cool. Which brings us to their collaboration, “Voodoo In My Blood”. Taken from Massive Attack’s Ritual Spirit EP, the song is charged with vocals by the Scottish band (who Australians fell even more in love with on their recent Falls Festival tour) and is an instant tune and worth your time today.

Starring Rosamund Pike, the clip has the British actress have a strange encounter with an orb in a subway, things taking a rather sinister and violent turn quick (Doctor Who fans may note some resemblance to the Toclafane…). Says Pike of her involvement in the video,

“Am I involved? Someone said the girl in the video looks like me. I have been to the Joe Strummer subway. I did have a strange encounter there once.”
