Gang of Youths teamed up with another Sydney master talent in Thomas Rawle to bring their new single – “What Can I Do If The Fire Goes Out?” – to life, visually. The self-taught animator has been producing some impressive shorts and clips for a little while now but this music video sees Rawle really step up and explore rushes of colour, tone and pace.
The song itself isn’t resting on the laurels of any previous material we’ve heard from GOY in the past either, instead surging forward with unbridled brightness and vibrancy. It’s the same energy we know and expect from the band, but with a new finesse now permeating through.
