Music Video of the Day: DZ Deathrays “Total Meltdown” (2017)

Brisbane party-thrashers DZ Deathrays made a massive impression when they released the ARIA winning debut Black Rat in 2014, and they haven’t let us down since. The new single “Total Meltdown” took a few times to get the chorus right, and the band admits that the verses and chorus are lyrically disjointed. But somehow this works in their favour, the loud head banging tune a great taste of the new album due next year.

So on to the new video. This one has some weird visuals, featuring magical recycling bins and a crazy CGI mosh. DZ Deathrays’ signature humour is centre stage here, it’s fun, nonsensical and crazy, which is just how they like it.
