Music Video of the Day: Courtney Barnett “Elevator Operator” (2016)

It’s a game of “spot the cameo” in the latest video from Melbourne based Courtney Barnett, who overnight dropped her finest music video to date, for her track “Elevator Operator”. The genius clip, directed by Sunny Leunig (whose famous father is one of the clip’s many cameos), features an onslaught of famous faces – starting with Sleater-Kinney, who seem to be lost in Melbourne while the clip itself ends on the rooftop of Melbourne’s Nicholas Building.

The single is the opening track from her breakthrough LP, Sometimes I Sit and Think, And Sometimes I Just Sit, which is out now. Watch the excellent clip below and then see how many of the cameos you can spot. The full list of cameos, in order of appearance, is listed after the video!
