Melbourne’s Selki finds resolve and a new way forward with “Skins”

Since 2014, Melbourne songwriter has been finding her voice and the results and response have been favourable. Enjoying radio play in Australia and Europe, not to mention taking in huge show numbers both at home and abroad, Selki has continuously evolved her style and musical growth. In her new single “Skins”, the idea of continuing to find oneself is furthered.

As a result of an accident in Paris that saw the songwriter hit by a bus, Selki had perspectives thrown into line and she emerged from hospital with a new resolve and determination to make the most of her passions and to live her life to the fullest. Unable to play any instruments due to the amount of broken bones she sustained, Selki’s musical path led her to explore a more electronic route and the result? It’s a stunner.

She’s released her official music video for “Skins” – dripping in colour and vibrancy, the video plays with symmetry and highlights this new direction for the Melbournian.
