Exclusive Single Premiere: Sam Buckingham “The Water” (2017)

The effortlessly talented and charming Sam Buckingham returns from time spent abroad with a brand new album to be shared with fans and newcomers alike. Setting her sights on Latin America, the Byron Bay native spent time away travelling through Costa Rica, Granada Honduras and Nicaragua before coming home to put this album together – the results of such sessions being gorgeous and moving, as indicated by new single “The Water”, premiering today.

With an authenticity that is undeniable, Buckingham reaches out to a loved one experiencing depression through the track. As she explains, “We all experience darkness and difficulty, and that’s an integral part of life. This song is about knowing there’s always somewhere to go to take a breath, connect with yourself and keep walking through.”

The first song Buckingham wrote for her new record, “The Water” is touching and personal – an invitation for the listener to take a little peek into her artistry and relate to some very real emotions as well.
