Exclusive Single Premiere: Elko Fields “Cough It Up” (2016)

I have absolutely no idea what is going on in Brisbane’s water at the moment, but whatever their music scene is sipping on at the moment to be producing some of the country’s most enticing musical acts across genres at the minute is something I definitely want in on.

The latest act to be stepping up to the plate on this front and staking a claim is Elko Fields. With a swagger and no-bullshit approach to rock and roll that is instantly akin to acts like The Kills, Kella Vee and Tomas Stephenson have made heavy riffs and a raucous male/female vocal dynamic their trademark moving forward with their debut single, “Cough It Up”.

Recorded at Brisbane’s Airlock Studios and produced by Ian Haug (Powderfinger), “Cough It Up” was then sent to the renowned engineer Nick DiDia for mixing.

The result? A hard hitting and fun tune that is unapologetic in delivery and hot to the touch. The first cut from Elko Fields’ debut EP, “Cough It Up” is a strong starting point and we can’t wait to see where this twosome head next.
