Exclusive: Experience Alchemy – the visual album from Adelaide duo, Sitara

Adelaide soul-folk duo, Sitara, have brought us a special insight into their new album Alchemy, with the release of this full visual album piece. It is the first time sisters Erin and Tess Fowler have embarked on a creative project like this, teaming up with Director Morgan Wright and Cinematographer Ella Kroning of Repeater Productions in bringing their vision to life.

Collaborating with Nick Graalman on the project as well, Sitara have turned their new music into a full cinematic experience – an aim they have wanted to achieve for some time.

“We really wanted to ensure that the release had true relevance to us and the society we live within,” Sitara explains. “We have worked endlessly to ensure this translated both musically and visually.”

“Nothing has meant so much to us as the creation of Alchemy and we are so excited to be sharing it with the world. It’s been a labour of love that has been immensely personal and a massive undertaking. We’re really proud of this unique and individual project that we’ve been able to create with an amazing South Australian team.”

The album weaves between darker contemplation and soulful expression, as the Fowler sisters demonstrate a matured sense of songwriting and musicality. We are able to delve further into their creative process and development with Alchemy and as the name suggests, the final result is something near-on magical.
