Twin Haus (Brisbane) chat about their new EP and more at Festival of the Sun!

While at Festival of the Sun at Port Macquarie last month, the AU sat down with Brisbane band Twin Haus to chat following a stomper two set run at the event. With their recent single having been gaining some positive traction, the band has been building up to the release of their much awaited EP, due out early this year. They chat with Larry about the next few months ahead and how the EP will perhaps signify a change in direction for Twin Haus as a musical unit.

“We’re releasing the EP soon, that’s going to be early next year (2016) – we’re in the thick of the recording process right now, trying to get it done. A few of us are going away so hopefully in the New Year, we’ll come back and finish it off!”

Discussing how their live shows are changing and developing now they’ve been working on new music, the band agrees that the new EP has seen them branch out into a more instrumental and playful realm – something that has definitely petered down into a formidable live show.

“I think this particular record is a lot more instrumental and ambient than anything we’ve done before, so that’s cool. It helps, having a good label and a good studio to back that.”
