Interview: Twin Peaks (Canada) do away with band name confusion & reflect on their month touring Australia

Naomi Shore and Lindsay Pratt of Twin Peaks talk name confusion, how the band formed, koalas, Australia and the supportive Canadian governments arts’ funding ahead of their showcase at Canada Down Under at Leadbelly, Newtown.

“We’re just an elaborate boob joke,” the name is explained. “The whole name ‘Twin Peaks’ is because we both have big breasts. That’s the truth, that’s the absolute truth. It was a joke! Later on, we watched the beautiful David Lynch series Twin Peaks; it’s great, beautiful and weird. Then we realised that the other Twin Peaks was blowing up, playing Coachella and Sasquatch, and it just got a bit messy after a bit!”

Hailing from Fort St. John in British Columbia, the duo have been making waves for their fusion of melodic greatness and lyrical flair, as Australian audiences have been able to check out over the last few weeks. Check out the interview below and keep an eye out for the group below!
