Feature: The Dollar Bill Murrays, in studio making “Dancing With Death”

Coming through with their first cut of new music since releasing their Always On EP last April, The Dollar Bill Murrays present “Dancing With Death”. Dangerous in title, groove-laden in actuality, the new single continues to fuse their indie rock influences with some driving guitars that bring them further out of the safer boundaries of the genre.

Think Arctic Monkeys just prior to AM. That’s the sort of vibe we’re dealing with here. It’s catchy, perfect for the late night party.

To accompany the release of “Dancing With Death”, The Dollar Bill Murrays share some behind the scenes snaps with us, detailing their time working with Brock Weston in studio. Check them out below!

Day 1 – All good things start with coffee.
Guided by the serpents, we venture to where we’ll spend the next two days.
Felix sings really quietly, so we just use extra mics (not really).
Every band loves cones, right?
We take studio time SERIOUSLY. Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you Paul Ballam-Cross for your viewing pleasure.
Brock Weston at the helm, making sure everything works well together. This man is a genius.
Man can NEVER be hot. Time is money in the studio, and apparently we’re rolling in it.
We put a lot of effort into what we’re doing, but having a good time is what we do best.
We’d love to post a photo of some crazy rock’n’roll diet of Jack Daniels, cocaine, and whoppers, but we keep it light to stay focused.
Paul might be our bassist, but when we’re on break he’s pretty handy with an acoustic guitar too.
The recording process comes with a lot of waiting and reviewing as everyone lays down their tracks.
The devil is in the details. Aux percussion to keep things interesting.
At the end of two days with us, Brock is still smiling? Either we haven’t broken him, or we have truly broken him.
There’s no bongos in this track. These are purely for studio entertainment.
We’re spent. That’s done. Can’t wait to get the song out there!
That’s us. The Dollar Bill Murrays.
