Alpine, Major Leagues, Twin Haus and more name their favourite albums & singles of 2015!

With only days left to vote for triple j’s Hottest 100, your favourite bands still have a shot of landing their 2015 releases somewhere in the countdown, hopefully near the top! While at Festival of the Sun in Port Macquarie, Larry checks in with a range of the artists performing to see what their favourite albums and single releases have been of the past year.

“I think Alpine‘s record has been great,” says Le Pie. “I’ve actually left my copy of the record in the change room I just shared with them, hoping they’ll sign it for me! Also, another little band that’s local to Sydney that I’ve just come across in the last couple of months, Phantastic Ferniture…they’ve got a great little vibe going on.”

As for the ladies of Alpine?

“I’ve been really enjoying Joanna NewsomDivers, that just came out,” says Phoebe. “It’s beautiful.”

For Lou, “One of my favourite songs was “Pretty Pimpin'” by Kurt Vile; that kinda came out of nowhere, he sort of casually dropped it and it’s like my ‘go to’ song. If I’m going out or getting ready or chilling in the morning, definitely, I love that song.”
